About us

Matthew Sansum – Chartered Accountant

Matthew has been an accountant for over 16 years following completion of a degree in accountancy at the University of East Anglia.

In 1998 he joined Bristow Burrell Chartered Accountants where he gained considerable experience in all accounting and tax disciplines for small and medium companies, sole traders and partnerships.

In 2004 having qualified with the Institute of Chartered Accountants and having worked with the largest and most challenging clients Bristow Burrell had to offer, Matthew moved to Ernst & Young LLP, the second largest accountancy practice in the world. Working with a number of global and high profile clients Matthew continued to develop his knowledge of financial reporting, complex transactions, and business management.

In 2009 Matthew moved away from practice to gain experience of working in a business and chose 2e2, an IT lifecycle services provider. Dealing with the reporting of results, complex transactions and the difficulties faced by fast growing businesses, Matthew, working closely with the UK Managing Director and Finance Director, gained first hand experience of managing a business which grew from c.£180m to £400m+ revenue in just a couple of years.

In 2010 Matthew started to plan and set up his own practice to become a sole practitioner and return to his passion of small and medium business, helping people to manage both their business and tax affairs. His practice has continued to grow ever since, mainly through word of mouth and his network of business contacts.
